INTRODUCTION YIZHONG Marine Consulting Service Co. Ltd is a newly established company, based in Shanghai, set up to assist local shipbuilding enterprises, building medium/small size vessels, to promote their products on the international market. The company is a joint venture of two members of the International Association of Classification Societies, Registro Italiano Navale (RINA) and the China Classification Society (CCS), which have wide-ranging and longstanding experience in ship classification and certification. The trade mark of the company derives from the merger of cultural and technical expertise from Italy (YI) and China (ZHONG) offered to the Chinese shipbuilding market. YIZHONG is able to supply a wide range of services, from assistance during contract negotiation, to basic designs and technical specifications in line with international expectations and following ship construction according to recognised high quality standards. In a few words, YIZHONG is a quality initiative aimed at providing technical assistance and quality standards that will allow local shipbuilding enterprises to be competitive and technologically advanced on the international market."
